What is a zine?
A fanzine or zine for short (derived from "magazine") is a fan-created, fan-published booklet, in this case one which contains art and fanfiction. These projects are not officially endorsed by rightsholders.What kind of zine is Ominous?
Ominous is a for-charity zine! We will have a physical SFW zine with a digital NSFW add on. We've got some exciting physical and digital merch planned!What does IZKT mean?
IZKT (or DKBK) refers to the romantic pairing of Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo, specifically with Izuku as the top partner and Katsuki as the bottom. In NSFW works, this is a peg-and-hole situation; in SFW works it is a little more nebulous, but it entails avoiding depictions of Izuku with stereotypical uke characteristics or Katsuki with stereotypical seme characteristics.Are Izuku and Katsuki allowed to be portrayed in dynamics other than strict IZKT?
As we are a fixed-dynamic project, we will not be allowing this content for the zine. We are not negative towards other dynamics and will not judge for content created outside of the zine, but all contributions for the project must be strictly IZKT.Will you be prioritizing fixed DKBK contributors?
We will be reviewing applications blind to avoid bias; therefore outside content—including switch content—will not be considered in either direction.Would you allow collabs?
We absolutely intend to allow collabs/spot art for fic!Will each fic/art have content warnings or will there be sections for content with more extreme tags?
All fics & art will have relevant warnings! Additionally, we will give "extreme" fics & art either their own section in the NSFW digital zine or a separate digital zine altogether.Is this just yandere-esque Izuku? Is there going to be some freedom in how his possessiveness is portrayed?
Anything is fair game as long as it's a play on his possessiveness–from lighthearted depictions to darker themes! We want a variety of portrayals and we will make efforts to avoid having too much of one thing.Can I apply as a contributor?
We will have contributor apps open for this project, yes! If you are reading this before or during the application window, you may find information about dates and application forms on our twitter or bsky.What are the rules for being a contributor?
You must be 18 years of age as of the date contributor sign-ups open to participate and submissions must be entirely your own work and may not use generative AI in any part of the creation process.If we wanted to join as a writer, could we opt out of the physical zine?
We would not be able to accommodate this if you wanted to write a SFW fic, but feel free to apply exclusively to the digital NSFW portion of the zine.When will the zine be available for purchase/download?

Content Guidelines

The content in Ominous may cover anything from canon-verse to canon divergence and alternate universes (AUs). All flavors of possessive Izuku are allowed and encouraged! That being said, while we do not judge or police contributors for content they create outside of the zine, some topics will not be allowed for works within the zine itself. The list of prohibited content is as follows:

When will preorders start?
- Preorders will open on September 26 and close on November 1 so be sure to get your orders in within that window!Is there an early bird deal?

- All profits will go to All Hands and Hearts, a global disaster relief nonprofit that has responded to disasters in 29 countries, rebuilding schools, homes, and community infrastructure. - Production begins in November 2026 and we begin shipping in February/March 2027. Digital items are only sent out after all physical orders have shipped, and your files will come from [email protected] to the email you used at checkout.How will you ship the zine out?
- Ominous will be shipped out of the Philippines where our head mod is based. Orders ship via PhlPost and tracking will be available by default. For US buyers: We will be running a US group order so fees can be consolidated and shared. See "What is a GO?" below.
- Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees charged by their own country. These are not included in your order total, and we cannot calculate them in advance or declare a lower value.What is a GO?
- GO, or group order, is an arrangement where instead of every buyer paying individual international shipping, one person in a region collects the orders for that region (in this case the US), receives a single bulk shipment, and then forwards each order domestically.Since Ominous ships from the Philippines and a large part of our audience is in the US, we've brought on a GOM or group order manager to run a US group order, Seds!If you're in the US:
- Order through the GO form. It's open the same dates as our preorders!
- Payment directly goes to our finance mod Dianna whether it be from the shop or from the GO form, so rest assured your orders will be processed correctly.
- A group order means two payments. The first, made when you fill out the form, covers your items. The second, invoiced by Seds once the bulk shipment reaches her, covers your share of the international shipping plus domestic shipping to your address. She'll contact you at the email you enter on the form.
- Expect roughly 6–12 weeks between our shipping announcement and your package arriving, since the bulk shipment has to clear customs and reach Seds before she can send anything out.Can I only order through the US GO?
- No, you can order on your own as usual from the shop. We just wanted to make the option available as well! If you buy on your own you'll be shouldering the cost of international shipping alone, if you join the GO you'll be splitting costs with other joiners but it will arrive a little later since the bulk shipment will go to Seds first.
